The one where he finally found Peace!

And while he walks the Stairway to….
I remember the time we spent,

The memories we created;

The joys we shared,
The sorrows we kept hidden;

The drinks we shared,
The stories we didn’t tell;

The laughters we created,
The thoughts we didn’t express;

The togetherness we knew,
And now we won’t feel it anymore;

But I shall miss you, everytime I am alone with my breathe!

Goodbye old friend,
I wish I understood you!

Blank

Hit in the midst of a writer’s block!
He scratched the lines from many a book,
Believed that it will come,
An inspiration
A motivation
A story
A poem
A line
A word!
Something to just jot down again on these pages, blank

A day went,
A week.
A few months went by,
He still didn’t much of it think.
A year went by
And he still didn’t lose belief…

He breathed down and stuck to the basics,
Avoided blank pages.

Kept his eyes and ears open to spark his brain again;
Kept his mind fresh and kept reading pieces.

Kept meeting interesting people and listened to their stories;
Travelled to various places,
But alas! nothing helped.
Nothing could jog his mind to fill in the blank pages.

A year, turned into years’, and as pages remained blank,
He started doubting, in self that could he ever write again.

Scrolling endlessly over years, down the lines of social media posts,
Seeing what all people around were achieving, while he creatively rots…
He decided to be consumed by the new AI might,
to help him write,

But not without a fight, he thought,
Decided to give it one last try!

Opened his usual app and stared at the page blank,

And it struck him,

He started typing,
And just like in the past
the words started pouring…

Within 10 minutes, he wrote down everything.

When it was done,
he realized,
this post though done in a couple of minutes,
was three years in the making!
It was for naught, his struggle,
he smiled,
even a blank page,
could be inspirational!

Karma

Not even two Pennys worth of thought did he give,
before breaking hearts and trashing love,
“Sinner!” they called him, “Be afraid of God!
When Karma strikes, you will be left, like a speck of dust in this desert of sorrow..”

But he felt like God,

Turning a blind eye to the wise words…
Continued tearing into lambs,
drinking blood,
enjoying the red feast he lined up.

A wolf he had become.

Then one day, she did turn up,
In the form of a lamb.
He pounced on her and tried to feed on her,
trying to bleed her like those, whom he had before..

But something did not feel right.

The blood tasted different,
like a poison it slowly wrapped around his heart…
He could feel the warmth engulfing his wind pipe,
choking his very existence..

A feeling, that mysteriously got him addicted to her…

Though she bled,
It was she who was devouring his soul!
It struck him,
but he didn’t care.

Karma was here.

The wolf became a lamb.
Cut out his heart and presented it to her,
with bleeding trembling hands,
he was finally afraid!

God smiled.

Karma opened her fangs,and
Just as softly as she could,
bit into his heart,
tore away his soul,

Vanished into thin air, leaving him for dead.

But he didn’t die,
For something in him was
beating,
burning,

A desire.

Slowly but surely the wolf came back from the dead.
More ferocious more crazy.
A determined man he was,
For he sinned,

To taste Karma again..

Driverless Taxi

“Where would you like to go?”,
the car questioned him.

As he fed in the location, he remembered them saying,
“Ride hard and Stop conforming”

While they all took paths to different destinations..
He sat here, in a driverless car, taking him to his 10th job interview
Same city,same nation..

Driverless cars! Pfft!!
If only
they knew,
how he and his mate, used to design them,
sitting on the back benches
in school..

They were the scientists of tomorrow,
But alas! A jobless man today..

25 year’s!!

He checked the day..25 years since he left school..
When did time go so soon..

A happy kid he was,
who lived in the future.
A hard pill to swallow,
that the future was here,
but the kid was no where near..

“Act your age”, they said
“find a job, marry,settle down”
“forget your childish dreams”
“Travel blogger! Whoever heard of such a thing..”
Heartbroken he conformed
and forgot,

until today

He panicked and suddenly felt alone,
hadn’t he agreed to,
do whatever the society had asked him to,

“Then why do I not feel happy nor free?”
“Guilty? have i wronged the kid inside me?”

“You have arrived at your destination”
the car suddenly spoke..

looking out, at the towering glass-paned building,
dwarfing the world around

He finally questioned himself
“Have I?”

Stolen Kisses

Their eyes meet, as their friends surround,
smiling a smile which no one notices..

It was on one such night, long before, their hearts had met,
Fooling around,
behind the back of their closest of friends..

They loved, living this secret which no one knew about,
Stealing kisses, when no one was around

It felt beautiful..As beautiful, as her smile..
As beautiful, as the curl of her hair, that flirts with her eye..

But only few weeks they had left, they knew,

Everything was going to change.

“Is it worth it?”, he thought

The question to which she answered, by walking towards him,
and hugging him silently for the rest of the night..

Memories meant more, than logic!

LOVE

And just when he thought things couldn’t get any better,
she smiled at him, inviting him.
He kept down his drink and made his way across the floor,
to meet the beautiful one.

More than words ever could, their eyes spoke a language
that echoed through generations,
their forefathers had been bitter enemies; turned in their Graves,
Impossible, they thought, for their bloodline to mix.

So together, after decades, they hatched a plan to ruin
their great-great-great grand children’s night..
be it the spilling of drinks, or distractions plenty..
stepping on toes, to shove and push on the dance floor..

but to their surprise, all this just made them blush and giggle..
brought them closer.

As they stepped out, on to the empty street, holding hands,

their forefathers knew,

love had destroyed their hate..

Newton

A million questions ran through his mind;
Answers to none he could find..

“Thousands died(of plague) and I still survive
thank you O lord! for you have kept me alive”

As the stars shine down like chandeliers in the sky, another day had gone by..

but Who Am I ?he remembered,
do I have any purpose or am I supposed to wait for my number?

a sharp mind he was naturally gifted with, yet a troubled soul restricted it..

if heaven and hell do exist where would father be?”
“does mother really care or has her new family replaced even me?

Disgusted he picked up a stone and threw it at a nest up in the tree..

I have no skill to farm or any interest to lead,
a pathetic life ahead is what I see

he looked up and cried out loud..

Why? Why do you punish me with such a life? why don’t you take me as well

and that is exactly when an apple from the tree fell

Kill The Boy

Run, said the gun, your heart is of no use here
You have lost ,what you could have never saved.

Daggers have been pulled ,and people have been fooled..
The maniac is on the podium,
feeding the heads of hungry folk..

Divided by boundaries, that God never created,
blood drains down the alleys, where once the flag was hoisted!

Kill the murders, Kill the rapists, the religious fanatics..Save the world from the two faced devils..Kill them all!
Power, fame and sex is all what they want.

But, look what you’ve done..the blood that ignited the fire, has bloodied your own..
Who is to be blamed now?

Run, said the gun, your heart is of no use here,
You have lost, what you could have never saved…

The Hope Philosophy

Its been 3 past eleven she hasn’t still arrived,
been waiting for her by this rocky seaside..

O! what dreams we dreamt holding hands in the grand hall of our school,
we loved, like no other love, the world had seen, before us,
From sunrise to sunset I pledged my heart to her..

Alas! I was only a blacksmith to her dads empire..
“what a disgrace that my beautiful daughter even looks at thee! Love is for children!”
with that he drove away me..

My daughter shall marry a prince, I choose
and live happily like a princess under my hood!

Her prince turned out to be a drunken monster..who blew away her fathers empire!
whilst I..swordsmith of the south grew, in power and became richer with the might of the king in the north!

But whats the use of all the glory, if u don’t have your love to share it with..
so buoyed by my new found social status, I went back to save her
from the tyrant who ruled her

She was same; my sweet love, cried and kissed, the moment she saw me..
I knew then what I had to do,hatched a plan to run away, another country far from all her misery..
she hesitated, but then agreed to meet me by the docks.

But It’s been 10 past 11 she hasn’t still arrived;
maybe maybe it was her child whom she couldn’t leave behind..

Alas! some dreams just float  away and crush all your hope.
you stand on the rocks waiting for life to show u a ray of light
Nay! its a cruel joke,
that the man upstairs has played on thee..

devastated he fell into the sea.

If only the blacksmith had waited,a moment longer,he could have kissed his bride, with a son on her side..

It’s true! some dreams do wash away with the rising tide of the sea…(27/3/2015)
